“Yebisu Garden Place” is a “micro-city” as Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Midtown but considerably smaller.

Ebisu is a district of Tokyo that was born around the first large factory in the Japan Beer Brewery (Today called Sapporo). Beer In 1890 Japan launched a beer named Yebisu (Ebisu archaic form of writing), as one of the seven gods of luck. Beer Beer Yebisu of Japan became a success, so much so that the neighborhood was the main plant in Japan Beer was renamed “Ebisu” (modern form of writing “Ebisu”). Japan Beer In 1901 he built a train station next to the plant and named it also “Ebisu”.

Today Ebisu station is part of the Yamanote. Yebisu beer is still very popular and is regarded by many as the best Japanese beer. And where once was Japan Beer Factory is now the “Yebisu Garden Place, the original factory had to move to the outskirts of Tokyo in the late eighties. Station named beer, beer named district, commercial complex with beer name, the truth is that they have made good use of the fact that formerly had a factory in central Tokyo.

In the “Yebisu Garden Place” not much to see (Do not visitéis unless ye many days in Tokyo), but if you really like photography you spend some time at the Museum of Photography in Tokyo. And if you like beer can taste all kinds of “Yebisu” s in the bars of the complex or where there are close to the station. There is a good hotel , very well located if you want to visit Tokyo, and next to the hotel is a restaurant with a bunch of little stars Michelin. And if you are interested in the history of beer Yebisu you can visit the museum free beer. One of my favorite places is a taco restaurant that has a terrace overlooking the “Yebisu Garden Place”.
